2007 trial version and 2003 full version

My laptop (Vista) came with the 2007 trial version installed. I installed my
2003 Office over it, but did not uninstall 2007 first. Word documents open in
2003, but Excel defaults to 2007. I don't have a key for 2007, nor do I want
one. If I were to uninstall 2007 trial now, will it mess up the 2003 install?
I only have one more install on my 2003 (three total, already installed on
two), and don't want to waste the third on a reinstall.

Uninstall all versions of Office. Install 2003 again. It won't count as a
new install.

Hi, Skyeswom,

An installation of Office that is limited to a number of machines is not
limited to a number of installations on a single machine. In other words,
once you have licensed it on your laptop A, it can be installed on that
laptop A any number of times.

The limit is for distinct machines, as far as any license agreement of which
I'm aware is concerned.

I'd go to Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet, remote Office
2007, then re-install Office 2003 from your installation media.

I might be off a bit or a lot here but anything with Access or the Hungarian
language. I seem to recollect something to that effect (Gyorgy(George) Moldova)

Thank you very much. I'll try it.

Cool. Despite a typo, I meant "remove Office 2007". But I'm sure you figured
that out.

Per the response from Peter Foldes, double-check your license agreement to
ensure I've given you appropriate advice about the "number" of
installations.
