2007 Word issues

Hi Everyone. I just started a new job in an office using Office Suite 2007.
I've only used 2003 before. I need to fix 2 problems and can't seem to figure
out how.

1. In a Word form document I need to edit a form field. I need to remove one
name and replace it with another. The form is not a template, nor can I find
a template file for it on the network. How do I edit the form field to make
the necessary adjustment?

2. A prior employee converted a Word form document into a PowerPoint file. I
need to convert it BACK to a Word form and make changes (similar to above; I
need to remove one name and replace it with another). How do I convert this
PPT file back to a Word form?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but
I've never laid eyes on 2007 before. I was completely lost when opening these
files and have no idea where to find what I need! Thanks for your help and

The forms tools are on the developer tab. The developer tab is not displayed
by default. You'll find the option to display it in word options > popular.
Unprotect the form, make the changes then reprotect. If you have a lot to do
with Word forms, see if the IT support will allow you to install
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Classic Form Controls.htm (or get them to
install it for you). It makes the job much more convenient.

There is little compatibility between PowerPoint and Word, however you *may*
be able to export the document from Publisher to Word (PP Options > Publish

Create Handouts in Word.

If you are so new to Office 2007 - especially to Word - then you are going
to have a major learning curve to climb, if you are going to do anything
more adventurous than simply typing letters etc.
