I installed the technical refresh for 2007 beta2 and find that none of the
programs can open any of the existing documenst on my computer. I ran the
repair program with no change in results. Anu ideas?

Hi Cameron,

If you're running a Symantec-Norton Security/Antivirus product open the settings for that product and turn off the 'Office Plug-in'
in the Miscellaneous tab then restart the Office apps and see if you can open your documents.

For other known issues with the MS Office 2007 Beta 2 TR update you may want to review this page of the Office Online 2007 preview
site as well

I've had exactly the same problem - but worse!!

After installing the update I could not access any of my files. My first
inclination was to try to restore my system to a time before the update but
unfortunately the System Restore function does not seem to work.

I then decided to uninstall the beta update but in so doing I completely
removed MS Office. I then tried to re-install using my MS Office CD but now
the installation will not recognise my Product Code. Why I've no idea I've
successfully reinstalled many times before.

Presently I have no MS Office at all.

I do have Norton AV and I've noted the previous reply. If I can restore
Office then I will bear the advice in mind.

Steve

Can anyone help please?

Install B2TR and then deal with Norton AntiVirus.

Thanks, Bob. I am on a different computer right now, but when I get to my
home machine I will deal with Norton and see what difference it makes.
Cheers
