2008 Entourage time to save Notes and To Do--why so much slower?

I'm running OS 10.5.1 on a 2 GHz Dual G5 with 4 GB RAM. This is a very
nimble machine, with the exception of some functions in Office 2008.

I recall that the saving of Notes and Tasks in Office 2004 was much faster.

Is this something that can be fixed?

I'm not seeing a slowdown saving notes & tasks on a G4. I would test in a
new Identity to see if you see the same slow downs. Let me know what you
find.

Actually in my normal account, it takes 2-3 seconds when I click on the Save
icon on my customizable toolbar. If I use the Command-S shortcut, however,
I discovered that I get an instant Save, the same as I did in Office 2004.
From now on, I'll simply use that keyboard shortcut.
