2008: Why some forwards mess up HTML?

I can't figure out the difference between 2004 and 2008. But when I forward
some emails that contain html or images, the images aren't attached and /
or the html email goes out as raw html instead of as received by me...
Any insight into what is going on? Other times, it will forward as html.
Seems that quoting sometimes is part of the problem.

Its difficult to tell from your post what the problem is. Make sure
that your email though is set for HTML either in preferences or the
menu if you prefer to send the bulk of your email as just text.
Depending on what you are using Entourage for you might find Mail
suits your needs better. I find for some things like HTML Mail is just
better. But, I stick with Entourage as I use it for way more than just
sending a email. I suspect if you explain your problem more clearly
someone might have the answer to it.

It is really difficult to describe what is happening. I have Reply &
Forward prefs to reply in the same format as received. Some html messages
reply just fine, even if they are block quoted, but others... They come out
as raw code. Now what I noticed about the last email I tried to forward is
that is was forwarded to me. It had from / to text at the top of the
forward, but the main body of the forward was html with images and the left
side of the main body had blue vertical lines running up and down the email.
It appears to be like a quoting mark, but I'm not sure.

The only way I can get it to work is to redirect the message, but then I've
included other people's emails, which I don't want to do...

Entourage's HTML layout capabilities are extremely limited. Complex HTML
does not forward, but simple HTML will.

You can use "Forward as Attachment" to send a complex HTML message and it
keeps everything, but you can't reply using the same formatting. Usually
complex HTML is for newsletters that don't require a reply.

You can "Forward as Attachment" an example to me for testing.
