255 field limit, does it count subforms/subreports?

I have MS Access 2000 at work.

I have a need to put information on a report.

The report has a limit of 255 datafields.

Does the subreport/subform fearure allow you 255 more datafields?

Yes, as far as I know each subreport has its own limit of 255 fields.

That said, this sounds like a real horror of a report to work with. That may
variables at one time would be tremendously difficult for any human to
really grasp.

The main issue of MS Access classes given keep telling how easy it is to do.
The problem is when you get to do maintainence about 25 revisions or more
from the start that you had nothing to do with. And the large idea of
creating good databases to work with seem to be really lacking in the
teaching MS Access. Unscrambling the DBs (and/or breaking the out into
smaller DBs) into more IT/user friendly DBs is the goal. This includes the
wonderful reports that no longer work for the user.

The bigger concept in the role relationship of designer and user are not
always defined well. As IT professionals, developers and DBAs. We need to
help our users understand that you just can't throw up a DB. And expect it to
work when you have a overly large DB or DBs that fragmented where
relationships have no logical physical ties. Say verses the paper/work flow
of how a user/business client sees their work.
