2nd post - Word shuts down computer

Can any of you solve this problem for me?

I use Word (Office XP Pro 2002) with Windows Vista. If I'm in Word and I
leave my laptop for 20+ minutes the computer shuts down and I have to restart
the computer. I get the error message:- windows failed to shut down
correctly when I restart it. This didn't occur on my old laptop when I had
Office XP and MS Windows. It also doesn't happen if I'm in MS Outlook,
Windows Mail or if I don't have any programs open. It only seems to occur if
I'm in Word.

Thanks

Are you saying that your computer doesn't automatically shut down at all if
Word 2002 isn't running? Or, are you saying that it does, but that you only
get the error message if Word was running?

If it's ONLY when Word is running, then use the install CD to do a Repair
INstallation. If it's Office, you might have to look for Word within the
options.
