2nd print hanging application

Hi
When a user opens word 2000 and prints a document it is fine for first print
when print next document word fails the printer status is spooling and word
not responding have to end task .
I have reinstalled printer and drivers ran all windows offfice updates
the printer is on network other users fine
Any ideas as Im stumped
