I have Office XP installed in Windows XP. I installed
speech recognition. Word 2002, and Excel 2002 only react
to the voice command. They do everything I ask, but don't
recognize dictation and microphone. If I say dictation or
click on the button, the language bar responds with "What
was that?" They do not respond at all after clicking
dictation.
Power Point, Outlook and Outlook Express respond to both
dictation and voice command properly and accept dictation.
If I use Power Point and close it in dictation mode, then
open Word, it is totally unresponsive. If I close PP in
voice command mode, Word will open in voice command mode
and will respond to commands properly. However, it still
does not respond to dictation or microphone.
PP will respond to microphone when it is on, but when
closed will not turn on with the word microphone.
I have reinstalled Office and speech recognition with
success, but no results for the above problems.
Under Word and Excel dictation, the balloon is always
blank when frist opened.
