I have a client running a Access 2000 database on their
network. (I converted it from 97 last month).
They are now falling foul of the error "The database has
been placed in a state by user 'Admin' on
machine 'machinename' that prevents it from being opened
or locked." that is explained the KB article 247180. It
gives the resolution to be an install of SR1/SR1a.
However, I'm told by their IT department that some of the
users that are preventing others opening the file are on
SR2 or SR3!
Can anyone shed some light about what might be going on?
Do the forms/sub-forms need redesigning?
