Hello:

I'm using microsoft office v.X on my G4 powermac.

My question is this.......in a Word document how can I set it to print

In the Print dialog select "Layout" from the dropdown menu (shows Copies
& Pages when first opened) and choose as many pages per sheet as you
like.

Ok, yes.....that does get me 2pages per sheet.

However, it doesn't seem to take into account that I had it set for
landscape. So, I'm still back where I started from. I cannot believe it
isn't possible to do this within Word like I can on the windows version
of Word. What I'm *trying* to do is create a little booklet.

A booklet requires much more than just 2pages per sheet. Which are you
trying to do? How many pages is it? What did you set for landscape, and
why?

The easiest way to get a booklet--print your Word doc to PDF, just like
usual in portrait, single page per sheet, then use Cocoa Booklet or somesuch
to process the PDF file to shuffle and shrink the pages.

It is true that WinWord has a booklet printing option that MacWord doesn't.

You can choose either landscape or portrait using "Page Setup".

If you want to print booklets, have a look at "CocoaBooklet" which is
freeware available through VersionTracker

Hi Tom:

In these groups, people who want "answers" are encouraged to top post :)

People who have been "giving" answers for a few years are often in too much
of a hurry to scroll down, unless the Subject line is particularly explicit
and compelling :)

Cheers

I don't know what you mean by "these groups". I participate in several
usenet groups and bottom posting is the norm in all of them. I have
never been to too much of a hurry to read (not scroll) through the
question to post the answer following the appropriate section.

This may, or may not, initiate a flame war between top and bottom
posters, but I give notice in advance that I'm dropping the thread right
now.
