3 quick Office 2003

Hi,

I am downloading Office 2003 Service Pack 1,-
(Office2003SP1-kb842532-fullfile-enu.exe),
from,-
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...A6-7CB1-4F61-837E-5F938254FC47&displaylang=en

It's is for my installation of Office 2003 Professional on my home computer.

3 quick questions please,

1. Is this download resumeable ?

2. If I don't have all the Office progs installed, will Office SP1 still
install ?

and 3. It says at that page,-
"In Windows Explorer, double-click the .exe file that you saved to your hard
disk drive, and follow the instructions on the screen."
So far, OK...
....Then, under "Administrator resources" it says,-
"To extract the patch files (MSP files), you must use a command line."
What's that about ? Is there something else in there I could use ?, or is
that just for exactly what it says, "Administrators" ?

Thank you Sir (or Mam)

Hello,

Please find below the answers for your questions:

1. Is this download resumeable ?

Better try to finish the download in a single attempt because it depends on
a number of parameters.

2. If I don't have all the Office progs installed, will Office SP1 still
install ?

Even if all the Office programs are not installed, the SP1 will install.

3. Answer for your third question is: After downloading the file, double
click on it to start the installation. Administrative installation is not
applicable (required) for a standalone installation of Office 2003.

Hope these answers may help you.

Hi Jagadeesh,

OK, 3 answers all the way from the other side of the pond, thank you very
much Sir.

Also, wouldn't the way I'm downloading Office 2003 SP1, be what JeveNew
needs ? (obviously, he'd download from wherever, and have to either burn it
to disc, or save it somehow, then bring it to the Church, - unless he takes
the computer from the Church, to an internet connection. Maybe some divine
intervention, is called for...
