30 minutes to synchronize folders; can I reduce this time?

I can't work. It takes longer and long to synchronize folders. I delete as
much as I can, but it still takes longer. What can I do

Hard to say without any configuration details.

Include at least;
-your version of Outlook (Help-> About)
-type of mail account (POP3, IMAP, Exchange, HTTP, Outlook Connector,
Exchange, other...?)
-any errors in their exact wording as they are presented to you.
