-3259 error code

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop I can receive e-mails but I can not send them.
I have followed the instructions that was sent a wile ago to amend the info to receive, send e-mail from Hotmail and everything was working very well until a few months ago.
Now I cant even send one word emails from entourage, without this error code appearing (-3259
An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic.)
If any one can help I would be very great full.

It's an SMTP configuration issue. Check back with your ISP if they have
changed anything to the settings for their server (some SMTPs have the
nasty habit of doing so once in a while).
