(.3gp) file extension needed to play Ematic video

My Window's Vista media player will not play video recordings made by my
Ematic camera/dv recorder. Program states that (.3gp) file extension is not
supported. However, it does play the still photos made by the Ematic (in
photo gallery.) I can not find a place to download this file (safely or
otherwise.) What to do? What to do?

This is not really an Office issue. There's probably a group for media player
specifically; I'd ask there.

Still photo file formats are far more standardized.

Check your camera manual and/or the CD that came with it, if any. If the
camera insists on using a weirdo format, they'll almost certainly supply
software to play it at least, if not convert it to something more standard.

Suggest you search for 3gp at filext.com on more information on the file
format. Appears to be a file format developed for 3G wireless networks.
