3rd Attempt

Hi, this is the third attempt at this question. I cant see
my second attempt - all I get is Newsgroup Not Available
when I go to messages around the date I posted so I cant
see if anyone replied.

I have a Command button with a Hyperlink address pointing
to a Mail Merge Word document. When the document opens a
Web address toolbar opens automatically and stays there in
the database view when Word is closed. Does anyone know
how to stop this toolbar opening in the first place? Its
easy to close but the users find it a pain. Thanks, Noel

There are some serious problems with viruses attacking the newsgroups. This
was worse at the beginning of last week and many messages were deleted and
reset.
The behavior I'm seeing is that in Office 97 you need to turn it off once
per Access session. In Office 2002 it remembers it's last state and stays
off if you had it off.

Thanks for this Arvin. Since posting this Ive tried also
on the Word newsgroup and have had advice on setting up a
Macro to stop the toolbar poping up. I think I will be
able to do this in each Mail Merge document. Thanks again
for replying. Noel
