50 Character Limit

Adam

Hi all,

My form pulls data from 1 Access Database, combines it with manual
inputs, and submits the new data to another Access Database.

I am however coming across a problem with the Infopath form. Certain
fileds carry more than 50 characters, and the Infopath form refuses to
submit the data. The Access filed it is pulling the data from is set to
75 charcters, and the field infopath is placing the data into is also
75 characters.

Does infopath have restrictions on text boxes? Is there anyway around
this? I hope so, as this is a major stumbling block.

Thanks

Adam

Hi Adam,

Is it possible you originally created the InfoPath solution from the Access
table and the fields were 50 characters? If so, after you changed the
length in Access did you "Convert" the data source in your InfoPath
solution? If not, you will need to complete the following steps so that
InfoPath picks up the new field length:

- Open your XSN in Design View
- From the Tools menu choose Convert Main Data Source
- Complete the wizard
- Test your solution again

I hope this helps!
