500 ORT

When uploading to my website using FP FTP, I keep getting this error message.

500 ORT not understood
500 LPRT not understood

Could someone tell me what this is and how do I solve it?

a 500 error "normally" indicates a permissions error on the server.
Have your host check permission settings, and / or check to ensure the server is FTP
capable.
