800 Digital Copies

How can I have Word create 800 digital copies of the same two-page
document? The copies may be part of the original file, so that page 1
is the same as pages 3, 5, 7 etc. and page 2 is the same as pages 2,
4, 6, etc. Thanks.

Errrm ...

Why would you want to?

A reasonable question: I have to make changes to each of the copies
(different for each copy so that can't be automated) and it's easier
to start with copies of the original. Actually, I need to number each
copy starting with 1, so maybe what I need to do is create 800
separate files with separate file names - unless there's a way to set
numbers 1,2,1,2,1,2 etc. in a single file.

Ken,

Having 800 separate files is going to be a lot more workable that
trying to cope with a single, 1600 page Word document!

Are your changes /really/ that diverse that you have to maintain 800
separate files? You might want to consider a Mail Merge process
that drags in the content for each document (say, from a database)
andplonks it into a two-page template. Actually, a template is Good
Idea - if each of your 800 documents are based on the same template,
you can still make "global" changes (say, you want to grow the font
a size or two) without having to do it 800 times!

If you create pages one and two and Select All and Paste you have 2 copies.
If you then Select All and Paste you have 4 copies ...
