80070057 error when sending

When sending emails I get an 80070057 error saying a parameter is invalid.
Extensive testing shows that it only happens when sending using the Contacts
address book. If I type in the recipient email address there is no problem.
I have re-entered the address in Contacts and changed everything I can think
of. Always the same error. Does anyone have a solution as it is not always
practical to type names in?

This is going to be a guess, since you don't include information regarding
your version of Outlook, environment (POP3, Exchange, etc.), and other
pertinent info.

You may have a corrupted .pst data storage file for Outlook. This sometimes
gets resolved by repairing the existing one by running ScanPST.exe against
it, OR if that is unsuccessful, creating a new .pst file. See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q305544
for pointers on how to do just that.

Problems.
No .pst file, this is in the Exchange store on SBS.
Is there a scan for Exchange, too.
Outlook is the latest 2003.
