A Basic Question

Hi

I realise this is a very basic question but... in theory.. could I create a
custom form, for example to capture consultant costs, email this form to the
consultants who then fill in the relevant data and email it back to me..then
I could import the data in an Access database.

Is this a wildy unrealistic idea?

Cheers,

Is this a wildy unrealistic idea?
No, it is very do-able. But there are a couple of gotcha's that catch
most people.

1) When you first open the form in design mode, click the Form menu and
make sure that the Separate Read Form is NOT checked.

2) When you go to send the form, force Outlook to use the TNEF wrapper.
You do this by opening the Contact Item for the recipient, selecting
their email address field, right clicking it, and choosing properties.
Depending on your version of Outlook, there is either a check box on
the bottom labeled Always send to this recipient in rtf format, or a
drop-down list box labeled Internet Format. Either check the box, or
drop-down the list options and select "Always send to this recipient in
rtf format", or however it is worded. Then OK out and save the contact
record.
