A few questions on office upgrade

S

Sue

I have Office 2003 at home. I am about to update to 2007 home and student.
Will my office outlook be gone after the upgrade?

Also, if I create documents in my office 2007, will I be able to open them
at work under the older version?

Thanks

One other question....the version i bought comes with up to 3 upgrades. Can
I just upgrade the word on my daughter's computer so she can keep the older
version of office outlook express?

Thanks ! Sue

Hi Sue,

The MS Office Home & Student Edition (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & OneNote) should not remove the Outlook 2003 version as it doesn't
have a replacement.

When you purchase an Office 2007 upgrade package it will include a Product installation key of its own. The Office Home & Student
2007 edition allows 3 home installations.

Outlook Express is part of MS Windows Internet Explorer, rather than MS Office Outlook 2003.

You can upgrade the 2007 Office product without uninstalling a prior Office product. If you use the 'custom' install choice you
will be able to preview and select/change the apps that are removed, installed.

This is my last question..do I need my product key to upgrade to the 2007
version? >>

Thanks Bob.

Will I be able to open docs and spreadsheets in the new version that were
created in the old version and vice versa?

Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue,

Opening and saving in the Office 97-2003 legacy formats is supported in the Office 2007 core products.
