A Formula which writes to other cells

select the cell you want it to display in and click = then
click the cell that contains the data you are looking to
display then hit return to finalize.

I believe in your case you are trying to display A1 in
cell C1 so you would click cell C1 and type "=A1" or
type "=" and then click on cell A1.

actually - I wanted the function in B1 to be able to write
to C1 (it will actually do a bit of processing or
whatever).

Imagine I have a real time feed of a stock price in cell
A1, and I want to buy when price is <X and sell when >y,
I want the function to detect this condition and write a
database of trade and times starting in cell C1 (just an
example)
