one of my clients, who uses outlook 2002 and he's working
with an exchange server 2000, has created a pst file for
personal use. he used that file in the past 6 months.
yesterday, when he opened his pst file, all of the
information in it seemed to have disappeard. when i
chacked it, the file was 144MB, but when i came to check
the file from inside outlook, the program reported that
the folder size is only 10MB. i restored the file from a
well known backup, but the problam was the same. i scanned
the file with microsoft pst file checker, and the result
was that the file condition was fine. i performed severl
more tests, but the result was the same. it looks like
that the file holds all the information in it (i determine
that by the file size.) but somehow, maybe because of an
unknown bug, outlook can't show the contants of the file.
if someone have even a blink of a solution, it will be
very halpfull. thanks, Omer Maydan, software developer,
and IT admin.
