A new sharepoint site has wreaked havoc with my Project sharepoint sites

Hi Folks ...

One of my users created a new sharepoint site using Frontpage, and now
he is the only user with access to documents on our other sharepoint
sites. (I wasn't notified that he was going to do this)

We're using Project Web 2003 with WSS - and our project sites are
created automatically. When we click on one of these sites, the
'shared documnents' page appears, but clicking on the link only
provides a blank page. (we can access them via the site's url)

We've removed the new site, but we're still having the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

thanks...

Several things I would suggest, the first being to disable FrontPage access
to your WSS sites. Although it is easy to use and provides many features it
also un-ghosts the sites which can have serious impacts if you ever re-brand
or wish to change a graphic or content on all sites.

Two people who I consider to be the best with SharePoint each have blogs
with tons of information that would help you. I will point you to their
weblogs.

Specifically:

(Awesome article and resource)

Also you will need to formularize yourself with the stsadm.exe tool and the
SharePoint services administrators’ guide:

Found here:

I know this does not give you the answers but I hope it will point you in
the right direction.

Thanks Scott ... Excellent resources -- I'll disable FrontPage access
and dig into the blogs.

cheers...
