A plethora of issues...Word '07 (help!)

I have Office 2007, and it all works fine except for Word. Once I open Word,
I can't select the text area. I can't click on the scroll bar on the right,
and I'm assuming that it's the same for the one on the bottom. I can't
highlight what i typed, nor can I right-click it. When I click on Word
Options, I can't select the other categories, so I'm stuck at the first one.
And finally, everytime I close Word, it says that the programs has stopped
working and then restarts itself. When I run the diagnostics, it says that no
errors were found. My laptop is an Acer and I'm running Vista. College is in
8 days, please help!

Word MUST have a locally installed printer driver set as the Windows
default. It sounds as though your printer driver is missing or incompatible
with Word 2007 (some HP Inkjet printer drivers have this problem closing
Word).

It sounds as though you may have also corrupted your Word DataKey. If so,
simply delete the Word DataKey which will be automatically regenerated when
you restart Word. But tackle the printer driver issue first.

Word DataKey

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\version number\Word\Data

Thank you so much! It was the DataKey.

Winkey+R, type in

regedit

and press enter. Navigate to the DataKey below and press DELETE. Just make
certain that you navigate and delete the correct key.

Terry,
Followed your instructions an was lead to several Binary strings in the Data
folder. Am I in the right place? Where do I go from here?
