A problem I am having

S

stormwarrior

I have Team Services and Project Server 2002 on the same box.
I have PWA configured to create subwebs automatically for each project when
it is published. After each project is published, I can go to 'Manage
SharePoint Team Services' > Manage Subwebs and see all the published projects
and their project IDs but no URL after the project name. In Team Services
administration I can see all the subweb IDs (like 106, 107) with a URL of
//servername/106, //servername/107 etc... When I try to see the issues for
each project, I see the projects. If I click on the link I get an error
message:
"Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are based on SharePoint
Team Services from Microsoft.
There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web server running
SharePoint Team Services. Please contact your system administrator." - for a
subweb I manually added the URL for -
and:
"Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are based on SharePoint
Team Services from Microsoft.
A SharePoint Team Services subweb needs to be created for your project
before you can share project documents or track project issues. Subweb
creation takes a few minutes, so if the project was just published, wait a
few minutes and then visit the page again. Otherwise, please contact your
system administrator". - for the subwebs that are supposed to be created
automatically.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't find anything related to this
issue.

Theo,

Apparently your installation of project server isn't looking at the right location for the sharepoint team services. How new/old/mature is this installation? If it's pretty fresh you might want to just reinstall. Have you gone through all the administration settings in PWA to connect project server to STS to make sure they're all correct?

Also, is there any reason that you're using PS2K2 instead of PS2K3? PS2K2 was known to be a little buggy and PS2K3 seems to be more stable for most folks.

Here is the SharePoint Info:
Server name: servername
SharePoint Web server port: 80
SharePoint administration port: 2908
SharePoint database server name: servername\SQLservername
SharePoint database name: servername_LM_W3SVC_1_Collab

The istallation is about 2 years old. I never had the need to use the issues
feature in PWA until now so I may have never noticed it. The page shows that
all the issues are at 0.
We use PS2K2 because that is when we bought it and have had a hard time
getting a 'good' server to put it on. The server it is on now is actually the
2nd machine its been installed on. It was a clean istallation.
