For the past three weeks, every time I start Outlook I get a message box from
Outlook stating that a program is trying to access my stored email addresses.
I have the choice of allowing this; allowing this for a specified time; or
to say no - which I always do, because Outlook states that if I am not
expecting to share the addresses, there could be a virus on my computer,
therefore I do not allow Outlook to give out the information.
However, when I say no, the program just hangs, nothing happens and I have
to close it down. Then I get a message at the bottom of the screen saying
that my Symantic virus checker is scanning outlook, but it never finds any
viruses.
I then wait a few minutes and reload Outlook. Sometimes it is ok after
this, and performs well for a period of time - which varies, until I get the
message again. Other times I have to restart the program again, and hope
that it works ok this time - for a period of time.
I update my virus checker every few days, but it makes no difference.
Does anyone please have a solution?
Thank you.
