A random ine has appeared in my word document and I can't remove i

Can anyone help me figure out how this line appeared and how to get rid of
it? It is next to a picture I inserted in a Word document, but I can move the
picture away from the line, so I think that's coincidental. Don't know if it
is relevant that its in the footer. It's a vertical line and prints, so it
isn't a formatting or font size indicator that would go away if I hid
formatting and other marks. Many thanks, Mary

If you have Track Changes enabled, it's probably a change bar. Turn Track
Changes off and Accept All Changes in Document.
