delete the whole thing,I can delete, tables, forms but not the name of the
data base itself. How can I delete the whole thing? thanx

Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the .accdb file, and delete it there.

If you want to save the db empty just go to the Navigation Pane (F11) and
delete every object you've created.

The names of the DBs still show up when I open the "office button" and
the "the open recent database pane".You can imagine my dilemma,I have
about twenty names all sitting there and I can't get rid of them.

I get your point now. I've tried just about everything but mys guess is it
can't be done a regular way. I'm also stuck with a lot of referencing
databases which I no longer use.

To clear the "most recently used" list from ACCESS, go to Tools | Options |
General tab, and either uncheck the "Recently used files list" checkbox, or
change the number in the combo box next to it to 0. Close ACCESS.

Later, when you want to "turn this feature back on", reverse the action that
you actually take.
