Hi,
I've run into a sticky-wicket of a problem with Internet Explorer (latest version) on XP (Windows Updates complete to the best of my knowledge. I'm running updated 2003 versions of Norton AntiVirus and Norton Personal Firewall.
Almost every time I start IE, I'm taken to http://searchpage.cc/<the_site_I_entered> and when I look at my Homepage in the Internet Options, it's been reset to http://nkvd.us.
I run SpyBot and it finds two alterations to my registry which it lists as Prolivation. The changes occur at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENT VERSION/URL/DEFAULT and PREFIXES where the string above is reset, either whenever I use the browser or whenever there's any activity on my computer.
Does anyone have a clue what's happening?
