a task won't delete even when I click 'Yes' on 'Delete subtasks'

MS Project 2003: I've already deleted about 20 tasks from a project plan. I
can't delete a task that is the last one remaining under a summary task even
though I hit 'Yes' on the pop-up window to 'Delete all tasks & subtasks'. Is
there a limit on how many tasks MS Project allows one to delete from a
Project Plan? I am not allowed to outdent the subtasks either to eliminate
the connection to a summary task. Seems like this has always worked for me
before

Hi Eleanor Hill,

Have you installed the latest service pack for Project 2003? (See Help >
About Microsoft Office Project to see what service pack you have installed)

The inability to outdent once a task has been indented was fixed in SP-1. I
suggest installing SP-2 which includes the fixes from SP-1 as well as other
new fixes.

For details see:

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
