I created a worksheet in Excel 2003 and in the Save as - Save as type:
box I chose Template. I changed the location to a folder on our
network where it must be. When I double click the file's icon on my
computer, it opens as filename1.xls. On another user's computer (2003
Excel), a double click opens the actual template. On yet another
user's computer using 2007 Excel, it also opens the template. This is
the first time I've seen this happen. I don't want it to be the
default template when a user opens Excel. I just need everyone who
double clicks the icon to get what I do, filename1.xls as a new
worksheet based on the template. It has to be as simple as that since
most of these people don't know computers. Please help.
