a tricky question

If one does not break the hours budget, I will like the system to accept the
"actual work" automaticly.

I am searching a way to compare the "work" the resource has after reporting
in the actual work, to the "work" in the working plan before (!!!) I accept.
Once I know how to do that I will be able to automaticly accept 90% of the
reports I get a day.

Is that possible ?

There is no automatic way to cover all your bases on this situation, but you
could create a Rule on the PWA Updates page that would automatically update
Task Updates (progress) using the filter % Work Complete < 100%. This will
update in-progress tasks but will not update tasks when the resource has
completed the assigned work, and will require you to update those manually.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. But, what could I do incase the resource adds more hours
in the remaining box before completing the task ?

I said this methodology won't cover all your bases. The best way to handle
this is to ask the team member to add a Note to the task and state in the
Note:

1. The original amount of Remaining Work on the task before adjustment
2. The amount of Remaining Work after the adjustment
3. The reason for adjusting the Remaining Work

Then, before you click the Update Now button, you should scan the list of
updates and look for any task with a Note. Hope this helps.

Still need help !

If I use the rule of %work comlete < 100%, I will never detect those
resources whom add addtional remaining hours. Because once you add hours to
the remaining it adjusts the % completed, which will be always below 100%,
therfore will be automaticlly accepted by the above rule.

Any ideas ?

There is no way to write a Rule to cover all the bases. I've said that
twice already. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you teach your team
members to add a Note to any task for which they increase the Remaining
Work. Hope this helps.
