A97 and dao350.dll: 0x8002801C under MS Vista

Hi NG,

I want to install an older Access97 runtime application under MS Vista
(build 6000, 32bit). This app is perfoming well from Windows98 to Windows
XP.

Unfortunately setup (Inno-SetUp) failed while registering dao350.dll with
error code 0x8002801C (Error accessing the OLE registry).
[Ignore] lets setup come to end, but accessing the data mdb isn't possible
....

SetUp is explicitly running with administrative privileges.

Trying to register the dll after setup manually withregsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO350.DLL"

failed with error: 0x80004005.

Any idea what to do ?

I want to avoid converting the app to Access2003, because it is distributed
by internet and the whole A97 installation package is only 12 MB.
