Aaaaaaaaah! Help needed in adding page break after endnotes/footn

Hi,

This is a seemingly easy request, one would think, but I am working on a
document that is a compilation of papers from different sources, different
formats, different versions of Word. Most of the papers include endnotes at
the end, but for some reason, I can not continue the document and start a new
page with a page break feature because the endnote format has restricted the
ability to add-on, because I'm assuming end notes usually conclude a document
and Word was not designed with books or collections in mind.

Changing them to footnotes worked once, but does not work in the next case.
It is possible I need to clear formatting or do something to the original
document before pasting, but once the paper is pasted in the master doc, it
is hard to manipulate. Please help! Need to complete doc asap! Thanks...

You need to set the endnote placement as "End of section." Then, for every
section preceding the one where you want the endnotes accumulated, check the
box for "Suppress endnotes" on the Layout tab of Page Setup.

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't get your reply until today and had to
workaround the problem the best I could. I think the biggest part of the
problem was the person formatted their references as if they were endnotes
which made it seem as if there were 2 sets of endnotes or something. I did
the first thing you suggested about placing at end of section which sort of
helped, but there was no way for me to enter any text before the references,
so the endnotes and text were all intermingled. Insanity! Project is done,
so water under the bridge, but I'll know next time. I'll try your suggestion
just to see and let you know.
