"abnormal program termination" at startup

Every time I start Outlook 2002 after turning on the PC, it produces the
following Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library message: "Debug Error!
C:\...\Outlook.exe abnormal program termination".
After I click on Abort, and start Outlook again, all's well.
How can I avoid to program termination?

Thanks, Andreas, but I don't run McAfee VirusScan and the
Exchange Scan add-in isn't turned on. But I do run Norton
Internet Security/Antivirus and I found some posts in the
Outlook/General group that bemoaned the same behavior and
claimed it's a problem generated by NIS's AntiSpam
function. Apparently there's no solution around.

I tried: uninstalling Office XP, turning off NIS and NAV before installing
Office Again, but the same result...Now I'm worried...Has anyone gotten
around this? Would removing NIS before installing again do it? Does Office
2003 deal with this?Any help is very much appreciated, Need to get my
Calendar on new PC ASAP.
