Abnormal program termination

I'm trying to import an Excel sheet (csv) into Access
but I encountered an error (Microsoft Visual
C++ Runtime Library) "Runtime Error! Program C:\Programs
Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACESS.EXE abnormal
program termination"
Using Access 2000 on Windows 2000.
I tried importing the same csv file into Access from
another PC (of the same config) and it went through
no problems. I have re-installed Access and tried again.
No change.
