In a brief, you need Project Server for Enterprise Project Management
solution, ie. if the Projects are maintained for the entire enterprise (all
departments in your organization), and use some common parameters like
Project Type, Cost Center, Department, Project Status etc. Project Server is
useful for storing Projects in a server and be useful for generating
enterprise wide reports. There is a lot about Project Server...so as CTA
suggested, SDK would be a nice place to start.
