? About Office 2007 Pro`

A couple years ago I participated in Microsoft's Power Together program. I
received a copy of Vista Business and a product key for Office 2007 Pro.
The d/l website was
www.OfficePro2007Download.com
I didn't d/l it then. Since then I've bought a new computer and pre-ordered
Windows 7 to run dual booted with Vista, and I want to give Office '07 a
try, but the site is now dead.

My question is if I d/l the trial copy from the Office website can I use my
valid key to activate it?

I would sincerely doubt that the product trial would activate with your key
but what have you got to lose by trying? You best bet is to try to find
someone with either the Office Pro Retail DVD or the install media for the
medialess license kit to see if they would work. Remember the license is
for the key, not the install media. You are probably out of luck however.

I wouldn't download from torrents either. You are only asking for malware
then.

Not always with some of the downloads from that site.

There's a short list of rules to follow when hitting the torrent sites.
First, see if the file is heavily seeded. Second check out any comments on
the file before you start downloading. <most could be bull, but I've yet to
come across that> Third, never, and I mean NEVER, d/l any type of crack,
especially if your running McAfee. Worst AV protection I've ever used.
You'd catch more with a sieve.
