about progression-lines...?

Jeroen

Hi all,

A question about progression-lines, at least I hope that's what they are
called in the English version of MS Project 2000 (In Ganttchart,
rightmousebutton, 5th option).

The helpfile tells me that this line shows the time behind and the time
ahead on schedule.
Sadly so far MSP doesn't show my time ahead...
Situation:
Project starts tomorrow (sept 22), 6 tasks, all SF, all 3 days duration.
Projectstatusdate oct 1.
first 3 tasks 100%, 4th task 50 %.
Progression-line (even if I play with the percentage of task 3 and 4) never
shows progression made after oct 1st.
Don't understand...
What do I miss?
I have seen it work...

Thanks,

Jeroen Janssen

Hi Jeroen,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

My Help file says: "Progress lines are drawn across the Gantt bar based on a
task's cumulative percentage of completion up to the date you specify."
Thus, it takes no notice of the future plan.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)
