about the astonish behaviour of Renamer Utility

Hi,

some time when we change the project name wth the help of project renamer
and then the manager accept the resources hours for this project then this
project will not open and displaying dialog box . "Project Could not be
found".
when we reverse the previous name then everything is ok.
what is that problem and why the microsoft provide renamer utility although
it is not working properly.

The problem is with your process and not with the utility. Before you
rename a project, you must make absolutely sure that there are no task
updates pending for the project on the project manager's Updates page in
PWA. If there are pending task updates, the project manager must update
them into the Microsoft Project plan before you can safely run the Project
Renamer utility. Hope this helps.
