Hello,

I just wanted to ask if it is normal for Word to still take a long time to open, especially when you first open a document after recently turning on the computer. Is this normal? On the update for 12.1.2 it said that this slowness problem would be corrected. I don't really notice that it is any faster to open... Besides this, it is running well.
Thank you,

Joseph

Hi Joseph:

The first time Word starts after re-booting the computer, it rebuilds the
font cache. If you have more than a couple of hundred fonts active, that
can take a while :)

Otherwise, no, if you have applied the latest update, the slow start should
be cured. If you still have it, we need to look to see why.

Cheers
