Absence from newsgroup

I have been absent of late from group.

My dad has been in and out of Hospital and nursing home since I got back
from my convention. I've just been answering email and have no time to
get on news groups

He is getting over Shingles, and pneumonia complicated by his age 93 and
his althiemers.

So my newsgroup participation will have to take a back seat for along
time. Posssibly permanently.

Guess many of you will be cheering at my disappearance!

Despite being so busy (and sometimes absent from the NG) myself, I had
noticed the absence all this month of your always-interesting comments and
not least your much-loved, umm, idiosyncratic, er, spelling practices. Most
of the regulars here are such boring spellers!

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Older people are often carried off by
pneumonia, to the extent that it's often referred to here in Australia, and
elsewhere, as "the old person's friend" -- but that's not something your dad
will endorse, I bet, having lived for so long. And neither will you ...

I hope you'll be back when time allows. That will be good for you as well as
us. ;-)

The spelling practices are from my up bring in Southen' Virginia. ;-)
We come from a part of Virginia that so far back in the sticks they
ocassionally have to pipe sunshine in.
Spelling was never my strong suit, in High school. Plus the fact I never
took touch typing. so I hunt and peck. Now too old, too much arthritis,
and don't have the time. :-(
