Absolute Reference

I have a functionality question that I would love some insight into. I have
recently switched entirely to a Mac for all my development work so I am
still figuring out differences between Mac and Windows versions of the
office tools.

Previously when I typed in a formula and wanted to be able to drag that
formula down a column or across a row I could use the F4 key to circle
through the absolute reference options as I was entering the formula. Is
there a way to do this in Excel 2004? F4, which was the appropriate key on
Windows, only pastes the contents of the clipboard.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,

Rob Lively

The equivalent keyboard shortcut in MacXL is CMD-T.

You can find other keyboard shortcuts in XL Help.

And of course, with XLv.X and XL04, you can assign nearly any keyboard
shortcut to any command.
