Absolute reference

is there a way to set a cell or group of cells as absolute without editing
each formula. i am trying to copy a sheet that has some absolute references
to original book and some ordinary cell references to cells on sheet.

not really.

you can select the cells and do
Edit=>Replace
Replace: =
with: ZZ=

this will make your formulas as text strings.

Now copy and paste into the new location.

Select the new area and reverse the replace command.
