absolute size of drawings nightmare

Hello,

We're trying to import a simple visio 2003 drawing into
Word 2000, either as visio (vsd) object or as wmf object.
We notice that the size of the drawing in Word (at 100%)
does not correspond to the size of the drawing in Visio
(in both cases: vsd and wmf).

What is a foolproof way to create drawings in Visio at a
certain size (e.g. a box of width 10 cm and height 10 cm)
that we can insert in Word with exactly the same size
(when the picture is set to 100% in Word)??

This straightforward issue seems impossible...

thanks,
Ward

It is impossible if you need to have it exactly the same. Visio 2003 and
Word 2000 use two different graphic engines to display images. There are
small differences in the way objects are defined in the images resulting in
slightly different measurements. My suggestion is that you determine what
the approximate scaling factor is and apply it to the image in Word. I have
found 97% to be about right on my monitor.
