Whats the difference between Academic & Retail versions? License period (ie.1
yr)?

You have to be a student, faculty member, or employee of a qualified
institution to purchase an academic license. Plus the academic license
cannot be used as a qualifying product for an upgrade.

I think the academic license does qualify for upgrade since the only
difference is the license, not the package. Students and Teachers cannot be
used for upgrade.

I thought it wasn't but it's entirely possible I'm wrong. I hope I am for
those who own it.
