Acc2003 Win2003: Linking Problems

I developed a database, at home, using Access 2003 on a Windows XP box. I
then split the front-end/back end and put the back end in a folder I mapped
to drive "Z". It worked fine. I took it to deploy for a client, who is
running Windows Server 2003. If I put both files in the same folder, share
the folder & map it to drive "Z", I can open & read/write to the data file;
however, if I open the front end, it will show me the data, but not allow me
to modify it, in any way, or add/delete records, etc. Any help you can
offer would be greatly appreciated here, as I'm pulling my hair out.

From windows right click on the mdb and see if it set the property to READ
ONLY somewhere. I've known it to do that when copying. If so you can change
it in Windows.
