ACC95 - opening from shortcut or file directly

We have an Access 95 db that users open from a desktop
shortcut pointing to the file. Some workstations
started getting an "out of memory" error upon launching. I
copied the db to the local desktop and when dbl-clicking
to launch directly it gives the same error. However, if I
start Access then open the file it works.

All run W2k with less than 512MB of RAM.

I've searched the MS KB and various other web resources to
no avail.

Can anyone please help! Thanks in advance.
